Perusi is from a family of 3 boys and 3 girls. She is the fourth born. She has both parents who find difficulty in meeting her needs. Perusi’s older step-brother has been responsible for her after the parents’ failure to provide for her needs. The brother is a teacher at one of Imani Milele education centers. In 2016, Imani Milele rescued Perusi. Because of her good singing and dancing, she was made to join Imani Milele Choir. There is now hope for a better life for Perusi.
