Scovia is the third born of the six children in her family comprising of five boys and one girl.  Her father abandoned his family and he has never turned back ever since; his whereabouts aren’t known.  Scovia and her siblings remained with their mother and they all stay in a small rented one roomed house from which they were about to be evicted due to failure to pay rent.  The mother also cares for her niece who lost both her parents before she even made one year.  The mother is just a peasant who is hired by others for labor.  She is paid a little money insufficient to meet most of the children’s necessities.  Failure to get people to hire her, no income is earned.  She even failed to pay for her children’s and niece’s tuition so they all dropped out of school.  Scovia shows interest in studies so she can be guaranteed a golden opportunity of being in school if her education is supported.
